Polymer Emulsions

Polymer emulsions are raw materials for paints, varnishes, adhesives and many other applications. As aqueous formulations, they provide the perfect conditions for the growth of microorganisms. Therefore, in addition to good industrial hygiene and quality control of raw materials, appropriate preservation of emulsions is important. The ideal preservative used should not contain substances that restrict the different end uses and at the same time be well tolerated within the emulsions, thus preventing coagulation.
