Active Ingredient Classes
- AZOLES
Azoles are the most important group of antifungal active ingredients for protecting wood against wood-destroying fungi, such as tebuconazole and propiconazole.
- CARBAMATES
Carbamates are powerful fungicides used in a variety of applications. We offer a wide range of products, such as IPBC, in this area.
- FORMALDEHYDE DEPOT SUBSTANCES
Formaldehyde depot substances are chemical compounds that gradually release the contained formaldehyde. These active ingredients in this active ingredient class are used for preserving various products by preventing the growth of bacteria – even in the headspace of cans.
- ISOTHIAZOLINONES
Because of their outstanding bactericidal and fungicidal effect, isothiazolinones are used as preservatives. They protect, for example, paints, varnishes and adhesives against microbial decomposition.
- PHENOLIC DERIVATIVES
Our products from the active ingredient class of phenolic derivatives have a very strong and broad spectrum of effectiveness against bacteria (especially against mycobacteria), fungi and enveloped viruses. These products are used in disinfection, in metalworking fluids and in in-can preservatives, among other uses.
- ACTIVE INGREDIENTS WITH ACTIVATED HALOGEN COMPOUNDS
LANXESS offers several active ingredients in this class, such as Bronopol, DBNPA, DBDCB, and sulfones, which are used in different industrial fields to avoid the growth of bacteria.
- OTHER ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
In addition, LANXESS offers you other active ingredient classes such as neonicotinyls, pyrethroids, MCCP esters, amides and quaternary ammonium compounds.
